# Fullscreen review

> Evaluate clean playback without selection overlays or panel distractions.

Fullscreen review is the closest editor preview to the audience's experience. It removes surrounding workspace pressure and makes framing, readability, motion cadence, and visible artifacts easier to judge.

## Before entering fullscreen

1. Seek slightly before the section you want to review.
2. Deselect layers if you want a clean canvas before the transition.
3. Confirm preview mute and loop state.
4. Close any transient menu or text-edit state.
5. Start playback and enter fullscreen from the review controls.

## What fullscreen does not change

Fullscreen does not change composition dimensions, layer scale, crop, frame rate, timeline zoom, or render configuration. It changes only the presentation of the preview surface.

## Review passes

    Watch edges, safe margins, crop continuity, flashes, unintentional blank frames, and visual stacking.

    Judge keyframed easing, title entrances, motion paths, and whether animated detail remains readable at speed. A live layout spring can appear after reflow, but it is not authored frame-timed output motion.

    Check line breaks, time on screen, contrast, reading speed, and collisions with important picture content.

    Listen for clicks, abrupt ambience changes, masking between speech and music, and overly long fades.

<Tip>
  A fullscreen review catches perceptual problems; frame stepping catches boundary problems. Use both before rendering.

If preview stutters, reduce competing browser load and follow [performance diagnostics](/editor/troubleshooting/performance). A smooth H.264 render can still be produced from a composition whose live browser preview drops frames, but timing decisions should be confirmed carefully.
