Selecting timeline diamonds opens the keyframe inspector. Its header summarizes selected layer count, property names, and frame range.

Edit values

For a shared property, enter a new numeric value. A mixed indicator means selected points disagree. Applying a number normalizes that property across all eligible selected points while respecting its value bounds and step.

Move in time

Drag a point horizontally in its lane. Multi-selected points move as a group while remaining tied to their item and property; their delta is bounded so the group stays within its layer interval. Hold Option/Alt while dragging to duplicate the selected points before moving the copies. Resulting frames are normalized to whole numbers, sorted, and deduplicated; when two points land on the same track frame, the later normalized entry owns that frame.

Space evenly

With three or more suitable selected points, Space evenly builds a distribution plan between the selection’s outer frames. It changes timing, not values. Use it for rhythmic sequences or evenly sampled motion, then preview because mathematical spacing may not match musical or spoken emphasis.

Clear

Clear removes selected keyframe points. It does not delete the layer. Empty tracks are removed from the layer’s keyframe map.

Canvas geometry edits

Dragging or resizing an animated layer can update points at the current frame or selected keyframe frames. This maintains visual editing speed but makes selection critical. Check the keyframe inspector header before performing a large gesture.
A keyframe drag itself is bounded to the current item interval. A later trim or split can clamp/remove points or partition them into another item. Inspect every affected lane after structural timing changes.
